Youth projects - volunteering

v. It's the first letter of the word volunteering.  It's also the name of a new charity to inspire a new generation of volunteers. The aim of v is to create a culture where it is natural for young people to volunteer and natural for organisations to support them in doing so.

The v project will have a role in raising awareness of volunteering amongst young people across the 16-25 age range, helping to inspire new young volunteers to lead, plan organise and participate in volunteering opportunities within Rotherham Young People's Services.  The v project will also place a particular emphasis on motivating young people who do not usually volunteer and engaging them in accessible opportunities that reflect their interests.

v  allows young people to build on their interests, to develop themselves and make a difference to their community at the same time.
