Clifton Park Museum
The record-breaking Clifton Park Museum is a day out with a difference. One of the most modern and user-friendly museums in the country, the twice-nominated museum of the year features famous exhibits such as Nelson the Lion and the breath-taking Rhinoceros Vase, the first ever porcelain vase cast in one piece.
The museum highlights the history of the borough in a way that appeals to all ages and helps to bring both our lives, and those of our ancestors, into sharp focus with the latest in high-tech displays and interactive exhibits.

Exciting times ahead
Clifton Park Museum will now open its doors on a Friday as for the first time in it's history the Museum will open seven days a week. In addition the Museum's newly decorated dining room is ready for marriages, civil partnerships, renewal of vows and naming ceremonies - these can all be booked by contacting the register office on 01709 823542 (select option two).
The upstairs galleries are still being prepared for the new York and Lancaster Regimental Museum and the revamped Victorian galleries which will be opening in the new year. The opening of the York and Lancaster Regimental Museum has been delayed due to problems with the supplier of the exhibition cases, a re-opening date is not yet known.
