Rotherham Council Equality Objectives

Equality and diversity is important to the Council and by law we need to have equality objectives. People have different needs throughout their life and focus on different council services because of this.

The Council has a legal duty to make sure people are treated fairly and are safe from harm resulting from their age, gender, disability, race, religion or belief, sexuality, transgender, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and
maternity. This will be one of our equality objectives for all that we do.
