The Emergency and Safety Team has had an involvement in a number of incidents recently:

- Fire at nightclub on Corporation Street - 29 March 2007
- Suspect package on passenger bus on Broom Road - 8 May 2007
- Fire at Field View, Brinsworth - 13 June 2007
- Flooding around the borough and potential breach of Ulley Reservoir - 15 / 16 / 20 June 2007

- Ammonia Leak at premises, Waleswood - 19 September 2007
- Illegal Car Show / Rally at Business Park - 6 October 2007
