Rother Valley Duathlon For Help for Heroes

Join us at the Rother Valley Duathlon. Standard, Sprint and Kids Tristar duathlon distances are available over the day's activities.

Rother Valley Duathlon is now open for registration in support for Help for Heroes.

The Duathlon at Rother Valley Country Park is aimed at beginners through to seasoned international athletes.

This is a brilliant starter event for the year and new season to get you on the track to fitness at whatever level you wish to achieve.

TLS Events are organising three Duathlons: a sprint distance, a standard distance and a kids event.

The standard Duathlon starts at 9am and comprises a 10km run, a 42.5km bike ride and a 5k run. Entry costs £40 entry for British Triathlon Federation members or £45 for non-British Triathlon Federation members.

The sprint Duathlon starts at 9.10am and includes a 5km run, a 25km bike ride and a 2.5km run. Entry costs £35 for British Triathlon Federation members £40 for non- British Triathlon Federation members.

The Kids Duathlon Tri Stars age groups various distances start from 1 pm. Cost to enter £7.50

Active Always at Swinton Highfield

Active Always is a programme of physical activity delivered all over the borough that will help you improve your health and wellbeing. If you have never exercised before, it’s not too late to start.

This class provides a range of activities including seated and standing exercise, improved mobility and strength.

We want you to feel safe and be assured you are getting a quality and effective session. We have been working with partners to ensure all activities advertised are Quality Assured. All instructors are specially qualified to teach health related exercise, and have the correct level of qualification and experience.

Adults racquets session

Date: 9th January 2017 - 31st March 2017

Every week

Location: Rotherham Leisure Complex

Time: 17:00 - 19:00

Cost: £1.50 per 1 hour session

Come along to this weekly session and play badminton, squash or racquetball.

Rotherham Leisure Complex is hosting a non-competitive racquet session for adults, perfect for new players or beginners with little experience.

Sports on offer include badminton, squash and racquetball.

All equipment for the session, including racquets, balls and shuttlecocks, are provided as well as instruction from coaches if you want one-to-one training.

Two separate sessions run 5pm to 6pm and 6pm to 7pm.

(Please note, that there will be no session on August 29)

No booking is required for this event and payment can be made on the day.
