Why not join us at the next Thurcroft Big Local community litter pick.

Meet at Gordon Bennett Memorial Hall Car Park, Green Arbour Road, Thurcroft, Rotherham S66 9AA at 9.45 am.

The litter pick will take approximately two hours. Equipment will be provided, however please wear appropriate footwear (wellingtons or waterproof boots), gloves and warm clothing.

Meet at Greasbrough Park, Greasbrough.

Litter-picks are being organised across the borough as part of a national campaign to get half a million people out and about cleaning up their local communities.

Keep Britain Tidy’s ‘Great British Spring Clean’ will take place from Friday 3 to Sunday 5 March. The Great British Spring Clean aims to get people out and about cleaning up their community during the weekend and to raise awareness that small actions can be part of big changes and contribute to a cleaner country.

The initiative comes just weeks after the launch of Rotherham’s Love Where You Live Campaign which saw dozens of local people doing litter-picks and showing their love for keeping Rotherham looking clean and beautiful.

Equipment will be provided, however please wear appropriate footwear and clothing for the weather conditions. Most litter picks last approximately two hours, however timings may vary on the day.

Cost: £3 per session

Athletics training for children to learn the basic Agility, Balance and Co-ordination (ABCs) and Run, Jumps and Throws (RJTs).

Our 'Hit the Ground Running' sessions combine track and field work with indoor 'sports hall' athletics.

We follow England Athletics guidelines delivering Athletics 365 programme, which provides athletes with a well rounded introduction into athletics. This is endorsed by Toni Minichello, Jessica Ennis-Hill’s coach.
