To experience the sights and sounds of time gone by, be sure to join us for this most wonderful Christmas event.

Join us for a day of traditional Victorian entertainment and activities as Rotherham Town Centre steps back in time.

You won’t believe your eyes when Miss Elastina twists and contorts her body around solid metal blades and you will gasp as Escapo attempts to free himself from solid steel chains. It’s a fire-juggling, whip-cracking, chainsaw-juggling, ladder-balancing show packed with amazing sights, laughs and thrills; a great show for all ages, so don’t miss it!

Look out for the slightly grumpy yet hilarious duo Scrooge & Scratchit, as they make their way around town, dishing out insults and generally disliking anything festive.

Prepare to be surprised and delighted by the Festive Funnels. This Victorian threesome have journeyed through the ice and snow to bring to you a festive glow with cheeky chat, games and play, the funnels arrive to make your day.

The entertainment doesn’t end there, we also have Victorian Bunco Booths with Sam the Scam and Ron the Con challenging your senses; heads you lose, tails they win. It’s all good fun as you marvel at their magical skill and sleight of hand when you take up their challenges. period dancers, music and much more!

Plus, there will be a market on Effingham Street, period dancers, music and The Chapel on the Bridge will also be open from 11am until 2pm for those wishing to visit this wonderful, historical building.

Christmas Fair at Thrybergh Country Park

Thrybergh Country Park Christmas Fair is back this year with more exciting festive activities for the whole family!

Market stalls, face painting, children's entertainers, festive food and drink and more return to Thrybergh Country Park for the annual Christmas Fair!

Father Christmas arrives on his speedboat at 11am, where you can then visit him in his Grotto!

Throughout the day you'll be able to make christmas decorations, buy from independent gift stalls, but festive food and drink and take part in festive games for all the family.

Booking is not necessary.

In 2 Athletics

Location: Herringthorpe Stadium

Time: 10:00 - 11:00

Cost: £3 per session

Athletics training for children to learn the basic Agility, Balance and Co-ordination (ABCs) and Run, Jumps and Throws (RJTs).

Our 'Hit the Ground Running' sessions combine track and field work with indoor 'sports hall' athletics.

We follow England Athletics guidelines delivering Athletics 365 programme, which provides athletes with a well rounded introduction into athletics. This is endorsed by Toni Minichello, Jessica Ennis-Hill’s coach.
