Family History

This is a drop-in session, no need to book.

Whether you're just unearthing the roots of your family tree, or you've got almost every branch and twig labelled, we can help! Come to one of our Family History Sessions where staff are on hand to guide you, and give you free access to sites such as Ancestry and Find My Past: We subscribe so you don't have to!

This session is organised by the Senior Citizens' Family History Group.

Health and Wellbeing Road Show

Youth support at Rotherham's Health and Wellbeing Road Show. We are there to offer advice around your mental, physical and sexual health.

Youth support workers will be available at the Health and Wellbeing Road Show at Dalton Parish Hall, to offer all young people support on health issues. Signposting to other agencies, and general advice regarding any issues facing young people today.

Join us for courses to help you to get started, and get the best out of your computer! No jargon, just simple plain English.

This is a "Learn my Way" drop in session - no need to book.

Help with everything from getting started; using a keyboard and mouse, to setting up an email account, surfing the internet and much more. In our friendly, informal courses you'll be able to go at your own pace and relax in the knowledge that staff are always on hand to help. We have computers available for you to use for free, and free internet access too!

Mega Active Multi-Sports Camp

Date: 21st July 2014 - 25th July 2014

Location: Todwick Recreation Ground

Time: 10:00 - 15:00

Cost: £5 full day, £2.50 half day

This summer we have our fun-tastic Mega Active camps packed full of new and exciting activities for you to take part in.

Mega Active is back! Why be bored sat around the house when you can take part in activities ranging from football, cricket, athletics, tag, tennis, Kangoo boots, rounders, golf, dodgeball and many more. 

Full and half day sessions for 5 to 14 year olds. 

  • Full day session - 10am to 3pm
  • Half day sessions - 10am to 12noon, 1pm to 3pm

Under eights can only attend both sessions with a supervised break between 12noon and 1pm. 

Children coming to a session should wear suitable clothing and bring sun cream, a hat, drinks and a packed lunch as required. 

Places may be available on the day, but please book in advance to avoid disappointment. The booking form includes a voucher for one free pre-booked session.

Open Access Youth Session

This is a drop in session where young people can attend at any time to take part in a wide range of activities.

The sessions consist of young people participating in activities such as pool, table tennis, access to games consoles etc and having the opportunity to be involved in issued based learning.

Such learning includes alcohol awareness, internet safety, bullying, substance misuse, racism/sexism/homophobia/disablism and many more.

Young people also have the opportunity to be involved in voice and influence and making sure that their voice is heard.
