Celebrating
Europe Day”

People in Rotherham can celebrate ‘Europe Day’ on 9 May with the chance to show off their knowledge of the European Union (EU) and win a fantastic prize.

Europe Day marks the anniversary of the day when French Foreign Minister, Robert Schuman, came up with the idea of the EU on 9 May 1950. The aim is to bring Europe closer to its citizens and raise awareness of the EU.

Now, by taking part in a quiz about the EU, you could win a meal for two, courtesy of The Wharncliffe Restaurant in Rotherham. The quiz is open to everyone and the deadline for entries is 5pm Monday (12 May).
