Does the eBenefits system integrate with most back office financial systems?
Back-end integration exists today with Northgate's i-world system and by April will be available for Academy users - this links to the DWP Performance Standards Fund work being undertaken by Amber Valley Borough Council. Discussions are taking place with IBS, Civica and Anite and with the National Adaptors Club.
Will the High Level Eligibility (HLE) be available as a separate process?
Yes, you can access it separately so can complete HLE only if required or bypass that process.
What are the long term plans for integration with Central Government; DWP and HMRC?
Rotherham is taking forward the wider vision with central government to build on existing information flows with local authorities, explore with GC connections to allow direct integration into government back-end systems and explore the joint position around rule bases for each welfare benefit to be made available to all.
Does the electronic signature meet legal requirements?
Yes, guidance was received from DWP Adelphi and head of our legal department although each authority will have to check with their own legal departments.
When will it be available?
May 2006 but should LA's wish to implement before then they could implement Northgate's Assert solution as it currently stands, and then receive the eBenefits functionality that is being adopted by Northgate - at no extra charge. Typical pricing is for an unlimited licence covering the LA area and extends to intermediaries.
Is there a self service module.
It is one of the enhancements being taken forward by the consortium.
Is the pricing per user?
No, it is a one-off licence fee dependant of the size of an authority with an on-going support and maintenance fee.
What if we already have our own benefit calculator but want the other elements of eBenefits?
It is modular based to fit so will fit with requirements of your authority.
