Licence - Second Hand Goods

Section 52 of the South Yorkshire Act 1980 requires all persons who deal in second hand goods in South Yorkshire to register with the Local Authority.  Within the Rotherham area this would be:-

The Act also requires persons to keep records of where the goods have been purchased.  These records are open to inspection by Trading Standards or the Police.

If you also trade in other parts of the South Yorkshire area, i.e. Sheffield, Doncaster or Barnsley, you are required to register separately with that authority.
