New Safeguarding Children Board Procedures

Rotherham Safeguarding Children Board and its South Yorkshire partners have updated the main body of the child protection procedures which can be found now on the this is an internal link icon Safeguarding webpage

The procedures reflect relevant legislation, current guidance from central government and lessons from research. Staff who are, or may be, involved in protection of children need to have a working knowledge of these documents and to refer to relevant sections as needed.
All agencies have contributed to this latest version of the procedures which replaces much of the paper ACPC procedures manual. Rotherham Safeguarding Children Board intends the new procedures to be used electronically wherever possible and to keep paper copies to a minimum. You should take advice from your managers about the destruction of the old procedures and any requests from your agency for the minimum number of hard copies.

Feedback on the new procedures is welcomed and should be addressed to Jim Stewart, Safeguarding Manager.

The procedures and practice guidance published on this website are the very latest versions available.
