Payment of Parking Fines

If you wish to contest a parking fine, please refer

If you agree to pay the fine, this page describes the alternative payment methods.

If payment is received within 14 days of the date of issue of the Penalty Charge Notice, the reduced charge will be accepted as settlement.

If payment is not received within 14 days, you will be required to pay the full amount of the notice. If payment is made by post, please allow for postal delays.

Notice Number

You will need the notice number which is shown on the Penalty Charge Notice. All notice numbers are prefixed RH and then have seven numbers and a check character (which may be a letter or a number).
Examples:     RH9960621 9     or     RH9957472 A

Payment On-line

Go to the online payment system page. In the drop-down box marked "Fund", choose the "Car Parking Fines" option. Enter the notice number and your credit or debit card details.

Payment by Post

  • (a) Cheques or postal orders should be crossed and made payable to RMBC. To avoid error, write the notice number on the back of cheques or postal orders. Complete the slip on the back of the Penalty Charge Notice and send it with your cheque or postal order.
  • (b) For Credit/Debit card payments made by Mastercard, Visa, Switch/Maestro, Delta or Solo, complete and return the slip on the back of the Penalty Charge Notice. Please note we are unable to accept American Express cards.

Payment by Telephone

Only credit or debit card payments may be made by telephone. Please telephone (01709) 336003 Monday to Friday between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm*.

In Person

You are able to make payments in person at the Customer Service Centre, Civic Building, Walker Place, Rotherham, S65 1UF from 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday. For details of alternative customer service centres, please contact 01709 336003.

Payment to the Civil Enforcement Officers

Our civil enforcement officers (who used to be called "parking attendants") are not authorised to receive payments.
