Ringway Highway Services Northern Ltd. works in partnership with the Council's own construction delivery teams to undertake highway maintenance projects such as strengthening, reconstruction and resurfacing of carriageways and footways.
In addition they undertake the construction of a variety of highway improvement schemes such as junction improvements, bus priority schemes and traffic calming. The individual schemes range up to £250,000 in value.
Early discussions between design staff and Ringway on individual schemes enables the most cost effective and sustainable options to be identified. Ringway have also co-operated closely with the Council to increase the volume of excavated material that is recycled for use in maintenance works.
Under another partnering arrangement, Ringway Highway Services Northern Ltd. also undertakes all of the Council's grounds maintenance, such as grass cutting, landscaping and sports ground maintenance.
