Some 14 miles of National Cycle Network have been introduced in the Rotherham area. In addition 28 miles of Trans Pennine Trail are now available. The route along the towpath of the South Yorkshire Navigation Canal also offers an 8 mile traffic-free route between Rotherham and Sheffield.
The Rotherham Cycling Map, a large-scale street map specifically designed for cyclists, is available showing these cycle routes and more. To obtain a copy, contact the

Walking
Various leaflets are available from the Tourist Information Centre giving details of walks in and around Rotherham. These include way marked circular walks through countryside and woodland. You can find more leaflets and information here

The Rotherham Walking Festival includes walks, trails and events to suit a whole range of interests, ages and abilities. The Walking Festival is usually held in July. For more information, contact the
