Winter Driving Tips

Advice for driving in wintry conditions:

  • Drive with care and regard for the conditions
  • Allow additional time for your journey and if necessary consider alternative routes
  • Be aware that parts of your route may not have been treated
  • Allow for increased stopping distance and don't brake or accelerate harshly
  • Be more aware of pedestrians and cyclists who may be in greater difficulty because of the conditions
