Over a number of years the campaign has supported the annual School Travel Plan Awards where schools that produce a travel plan have received their certificates from celebrities including Johnny Ball and Paul Hudson, the BBC Look North weather forecaster.

For those people who have no choice other than driving, Making Trax has produced information on eco-driving. These techniques are now being made part of the standard driving test. If you would like a leaflet you can download it below or request a copy by contacting us.

Car sharing
With the other South Yorkshire councils we have set up the 
carsharesouthyorksire website to help people to save money and reduce their impact on the environment by sharing their car journeys. If enough people take part in initiatives like this, congestion will be reduced, making road journeys more pleasant for everyone.
