These Godfrey Edition maps are an invaluable resource for historians and genealogists. They are reprints of Old Ordnance Survey Maps of towns. Each map is folded, and most have a historic photograph on the cover.
The maps are highly detailed, taken from the 1/2500 plans and reprinted at about 14 inches to the mile. They cover towns in detail, showing individual houses, railway tracks, factories, churches, mills, canals, tramways, wells, etc. The Maps also include historical notes on the area concerned, and many also include extracts from contemporary directories.
