Rawmarsh at War

(QCA Schemes of Work, History at Key Stage 3, Unit 18, Section 5)

A task sheet that focuses on Civil Defence in the Second World War and the people who volunteered to assist in the war effort at home. Incorporating actual documents from the archives of the Rawmarsh Urban District Council, the task sheet uses the town of Rawmarsh as an example, and seeks to give pupils first-hand information about voluntary service for Civil Defence duties.
