Community Learning and Well-being

Community Learning and well-being is a new service within Children and Young People's Services. The overall aim of the Community Learning and well-being service is to contribute to the Rotherham wide agenda of widening participation and increasing access to community learning opportunities.

Community Learning brings together a number of informal learning opportunities across RMBC, delivered usually in community venues. The Community Learning Service will work with partners in an enabling and facilitating way to increase the capacity of learning providers to deliver learning and influence the provision to ensure that community learning in Rotherham meets the needs of the communities it serves. The service will aim to access funding to maintain existing provision and to develop new, innovative opportunities.

The service is committed to on going consultation with its users and non-users and to ensuring that equalities principles are embedded in all its work.
