The Children's Information Service provides free information, advice and guidance to parents and carers looking for childcare and other family services.

We can help you to promote your services to parents and carers. By keeping us updated of your vacancies, costs, school collections, opening hours and other details that may change, we can promote your service effectively to people with childcare requirements that match your service.

We also use the information for effective planning of future childcare. We share your vacancy information with your Extended Services Childcare Officer, who use the information to enable them to support the creation of childcare to meet the needs of parents.

Also, as part of our marketing of CIS - if there are specific areas of the borough with high vacancy levels - we carry out targeted advertising and promotional events to raise awareness with parents/carers.
