Schools planning overseas "expeditions", i.e. overseas journeys involving remote locations, must contact the Outdoor Education Adviser as early as possible before commitments by the school or parents are made. The LEA encourages schools to take on such ventures and will provide specific advice. The LEA will make specific requirements clear to the provider and this must be done before plans are far advanced.
