Applying for Admission to Primary School 2009/10 or Secondary School 2010/11

All the information needed and an application form is contained within the admissions booklets below.

It will be possible to apply on line for Year 7 Secondary School places for September 2010 from 1 July 2009. This service will cease on 16 October 2009.

It will be possible to apply on line for Reception /Foundation Stage 2 and Year 3 School places for September 2010 from 25 September 2009. This service will cease on 3 December 2009.

Consultation and determination of admission arrangements for 2010/11

Consultation takes place up to 1st March 2009 and all determinations are then made by 15th April 2009. The Local Authority's consultation document can be viewed below:

For all church voluntary aided schools, you should contact the relevant school or can contact the Local Authority (as above) and your comments will be passed on to the relevant governing body.

The porposed co-ordinated schemes for the 2010/11 admission year have been agreed and are shown below;

For 2010/11, all LA's are required to co-ordinate admissions for all year groups. Updated policies for 2010/11 covering all groups will be required by January 2010.

The 'relevant area' for admission purposes remains the whole of the Borough of Rotherham.
