Joining the Library

Membership is free and open to all.

To join, you simply come along to any of our libraries and bring some ID with you or complete and send the online joining form.

If you cannot bring in any proof of ID on your first visit, you will be joined up as a guest which entitles you to immediately take out two books or spoken word sets.

To receive the benefits of full membership you will need to show proof of your name and address, e.g. a driving licence, gas bill, pension book etc..

If you are aged 16 or under, you will need to ask a parent or guardian to sign your membership ticket.

A membership ticket will be given to you which allows you to borrow items straight away.
