The Library Service provides good access to buildings with ramps and electronic doors and easy access within buildings where signage is regularly reviewed.
The Hear and Now Collection is a collection of videos to loan free of charge, which are either in sign language or have subtitles. This collection is held in the Central Library but can be reserved from any library.
Audio Described Videos are available for loan. A list of titles (in Braille and Large Print format) is available in all branch libraries, order from the library.
Book Holders, Magnifying Glasses and Portable Hearing Loops
These are available in all libraries for use by customers.
Some libraries have rollator walking aids for those with mobility problems.
The Central Library has additional facilities such as an Aladdin Rainbow print magnifier and a Braille transcription service for visually impaired people.
