Information and Reference Services
The library staff are here to provide answers to your questions, or at the very least to point you in the right direction!
Many enquiries can be answered quickly from our own resources and we are more than willing to contact other information providers on your behalf.
The Library has a wealth of information resources available to help you with your enquiries - reference works, encyclopaedias, current and back issues of newspapers and journals, plus online resources on CD-ROM and the internet.
The Library has extensive information about health, business and the local community and there is a dedicated Archives and Local Studies service which offers you expert help in finding information on local and family history.

Business Library
Most of our libraries take national or local newspapers, which may be read in the library. The latest issues are on display and back issues are available for reference.
Rotherham Library is a partner in People's Network Enquire service, offering 24/7 access to real library staff!

Libraries also work closely with agencies providing advice on specific topics. Specialists in education and training, pensions or employment visit libraries at times to offer free advice on these topics.
