Behaviour Support Plan 2001/2004

There are many strands of support available for the children, young people and staff in schools, This plan aims to bring these strands together. The plan will aim to ensure that Rotherham has coherent, comprehensive and well understood local arrangements for supporting pupils along the whole continuum of behavioural difficulties.

Education, Culture & Leisure Services ICT Strategy 2005 - 2010
This Strategy sets out a vision for ICT development over the next five years. The Strategy is a working document - it will be reviewed each year, and amended to take account of performance against targets, and new initiatives and challenges for the Programme Area as they emerge.

Ofsted Inspection
The Office for Standards in Education (Ofsted) was set up on 1 September 1992. It is a non-ministerial government department whose main aim is to help improve the quality and standards of education and childcare through independent inspection and regulation. The principal role of Ofsted is the management of the system of school inspection, this provides for the regular inspection of all 24,000 schools in England, which are wholly or mainly state-funded.

Rotherham 16 - 19 Area Inspection Action Plan
An area-wide inspection of all 16-19 education and training provision in Rotherham was carried out during Spring 2001 by OFSTED, FEFC and TSC.

This action plan addresses the specific recommendations in the inspection report and sets out proposals/models for improving collaboration and flexibility in the delivery of learning so that it is more responsive to the needs of young people and the community.

School Organisation Plan
The School Organisation Plan is a 5 year plan, reviewed and updated annually with a new draft plan published by 1st June each year. It sets out the action required about the need to maintain, add or remove school places within Rotherham LEA. This includes the provision the LEA proposes to make for children with special educational needs.

Special Educational Needs (SEN) Strategic Development Plan
This document sets out Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Councils intentions for planning and supporting pupils with special educational needs. The Plan for 2002-2006 focuses on a range of activities the Council will promote in order to fulfil the requirements placed on it by the OFSTED inspection.

 Section 52 Budget Statement
Under Section 52 of the Schools Standards and Framework Act 1998 LEAs are required to prepare a budget statement for each financial year. The budget statements are a means of informing schools and the public about the funding plans of the LEA.
