Children and Young People's Services 'Audit of Need'

Every Child Matters' highlights the need for services to work more closely together in supporting all children. The new agenda aims to give every child the opportunity to achieve their full potential regardless of their background or circumstances. Services from hospitals and schools, to police and voluntary groups will play a vital role in moving forward this agenda, and new ways of collaborative working and information sharing will have to be adopted to ensure that all children will "Be healthy", "Stay safe", "Enjoy and achieve", "Make a positive contribution" and "Achieve economic well being''

The audit will
Highlight the needs of children and young people across the Borough of Rotherham and provide detailed statistical evidence from services currently working with children. The information identified will be used to help create actions for the Children and Young People's Single Plan.

Identify Services and Facilities that currently exist for children and young people across the borough.

Bring together indicators and statistics from across the five priorities and highlight any patterns / trends.

Where possible allow for comparisons to be drawn between other areas and at a national level.

Take into account the views of children and young people from across Rotherham.
