Rotherham Community Arts
Perhaps you would like to have a local festival, learn how to design a web page, create art work to improve your area, decorate your school or community centre, or you could use art as a fun way to take on an issue you think is important.
Taking part in an arts project provide many benefits as well as the pure enjoyment of the artform, be it dance, painting, music, drama or new media. The arts provide other benefits including increasing confidence, relaxation, learning new skills, self expression, developing community work and providing fun creative activities for children and young people.
Whether or not you are an absolute beginner, the Community Arts Team can help you or your group with ideas for arts projects organising activities, and finding the funding, the artists and the expertise to help you turn your ideas into reality.
We also run a number of community projects around Rotherham borough, including music and dance projects, arts in residential homes, with a variety of groups, including residents and youth groups, single parents groups, a learning disabilities theatre group and many more.
If you would like to take part in any of these activities, or would like us to work with you to develop your own ideas for events in your community, contact the Community Arts Team at the address below.

Arts Development | Working for Artists
Many creative people experience difficulties in working alone, without support and feedback from fellow artists. The Community Arts Unit provides a contact point for local artists, to be included in the Artists Register for artists looking to work in the area, to get in touch with fellow artists and community groups and build support networks.
To be part of the Arts in Rotherham Network, or to contact any member of the Community Arts Team, contact:
