Active Mark and Sports Mark

These awards are in recognition of a school's commitment to providing a broad and balanced range of curricular and out of school hours PE and Sport opportunities.

Rotherham now has a large majority of schools that have attained the awards.

Activemark is awarded to primary schools, Activemark Gold is the highest award a school can obtain.

Sportsmark is awarded to secondary schools, Sportsmark Gold is the highest award a school can obtain.

The award structure is currently under review by Sport England, and applications for the last round have now closed. Information regarding the new accreditation scheme were distributed to schools from Sport England in 2006.

Further information regarding gaining these awards for your school, or support in the application process can be obtained from your Partnership Development Manager.
