Wildlife

Wildlife occurs all over Rotherham in both urban and rural sites from gardens to car parks, from woodlands to arable fields, but is especially abundant in the following places:

  • Thrybergh, Ulley and Rother Valley Country Parks
  • Roche Abbey, Chesterfield Canal, Catcliffe Flash
  • Anston Stones Wood nestling in a small limestone gorge flanking Anston Brook
  • Wentworth Park lying between Greasbrough and Wentworth to the north west of Rotherham
