Wath Wood & Boyd Royd Wood
Ancient semi-natural broad-leaf woodland forming a prominent landscape feature and important for wildlife, though the understorey and ground layer support few plant species. The canopy is dominated by oaks and the ground layer by Creeping Soft Grass with frequent Bluebells, Brambles and Bracken.
