Rotherham doesn't offer deep-sea fishing! However for keen fishermen courses on offer include angling at Rother Valley and Ulley Country Park, and fly fishing at Thrybergh Country Park. In addition fishing is also available at various pegs along the rivers Rother and Don and the South Yorkshire Navigation Canal, Chesterfield Canal and at a number of private fisheries and clubs.
Anglers must be in possession of a valid Environment Agency Rod Fishing Licence, available from most Post Offices. A number of private fisheries and clubs welcome visitors to their site. However, please be aware that additional licenses or passes may be required. Please call for details.
