Housing Options (Key Choices)

Key Choices is a scheme introduced by Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council that lets you apply for a home of your choice instead of waiting for an offer that someone else thinks is suitable

Not only will you be able to move to the area of your choice but you will aso be able to choose when you want to move. However, this will still depend on the length of time you have been on the housing register and the length of time you wait may vary depending on the areas you choose.

Following consultation with our customers through road shows, news articles, flyers and radio broadcasts, the feedback was encouraging. The general response was that people wanted us to offer a more transparent and flexible way of letting council properties.

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council and Housing Associations operating in the borough will advertise their properties available for letting every Wednesday morning from 10.30am until the following Tuesday at 4.00pm. You can view the advertisements at various outlets including:

2) Any Neighbourhood Office - Address List

3) Norfolk House Neighbourhood Reception

4) At the Town Centre Property Shop

5) In the Rotherham Advertiser
