Annual Performance Plan 2007

ODPM Circular 5 published May 2006 reduced the level of prescription for Performance Plans based on being a ‘3 or 4 star’ CPA Authority. As a result, there are only 4 statutory Performance Plan requirements:-

• Outturn data for Best Value Performance Indicators (BVPIs).
  
• Targets for BVPIs in the current year and subsequent 2 years.
  
• Confirmation they are adopting the Code of Practice in their approach to workforce matters and contracting.
  
• The document to be published (available to the public) by 30 June.

Contents of the Annual Performance Plan 2007

The Annual Performance Plan is published in 2 parts:

Part One outlines

• The Council’s vision and corporate priorities
• An assessment of how the Council has performed in 2006/07 in delivering its corporate priorities
• The outcomes of external assessments and reviews
• Statement of Contracts

Part Two contains detailed performance data in relation to the statutory national Performance Indicators and our key Local Performance Indicators which contribute to delivering our corporate plan priorities.
