Commentary

Analysis of returns indicates that men are more likely to have had a Performance and Development Review than women, disabled or BME employees. Men only account for 12% of the workforce and changes have been made so that 100% of employees will have an annual review by 2009/10.

The perception amongst disabled and BME employees is that the Council doesn’t have effective measures in place for performance and development. However, this is not evidenced by the set of questions regarding the process which indicates these groups have the same or more positive experiences.
