International Links & Town Twinning

Rotherham has links all over the world, through our schools, businesses and communities.  In 2006 we developed an International Links Policy in consultation with a range of partners to outline our reasons for engaging international work.

Our twinning and partnership agreements
Rotherham's official twin town is St Quentin in North East France. Since the Twinning Declaration was signed in 1990, the links between the two towns have gone from strength to strength.

Rotherham also has a Partnership Agreements with Riesa in Germany, Zabrze in Poland and Cluj Napoca in Romania, as well as friendships with other cities around the world.

Each year we evaluate the international partnerships and agree priorities for the coming year.  The Action Plan for 2007/08 and the Executive Summary of the 2006/07 Annual Monitoring Report are available below:
