Adult Services and Health Scrutiny Panel is chaired by
Councillor Hilda Jack with
Councillor Colin Barron as vice-chair.
Additional Members of the panel include:
Cllr W Blair, Cllr M Clarke, Cllr J Doyle, Cllr F Hodgkiss, Cllr D Hughes, Cllr I St John, Cllr J Turner, Cllr P Wootton, Cllr F Wright + co-optees.
The Panel covers a wide range of issues, including:
- How vulnerable people are helped to live as independently as possible in the community
- Partnerships arrangements in relation to adult social care services and their governance
- Adult health services commissioned within Rotherham (under the
- powers of health scrutiny as outlined in the Health and Social
- Care Act 2001)
- The Public Health Strategy and how health inequalities are tackled
Members of the Panel also sit on the South Yorkshire Joint Health Scrutiny Panel looking at issues affecting the South Yorkshire region.
