Children and Young People's Services Scrutiny Panel is chaired by  This is an internal link icon Councillor Ann Russell , with This is an internal link icon Councillor Jo Burton  as vice-chair.

Additional Members of the panel are:

Cllr S Ali, Cllr S Currie, Cllr B Dodson, L Donaldson, Cllr T Fenoughty, Cllr D Hughes, Cllr B Kaye, Cllr N Licence, Cllr G Sharp and Cllr K Sims plus co-optees.

The panel scrutinises the decisions of:

  • Children and Young People's Services and their governance arrangements;
  • Educational and training opportunities for children and young people;
  • Children and Young People's social care and health including improving services to vulnerable children and young people;
  • Other cross-cutting services provided specifically for children and young people.

The Children and Young People's Services Scrutiny Panel generally meets at 9.30am on the first or second Friday of each month. Meetings are usually held in the Town Hall.
