The registration of births, stillbirths, deaths and marriages which take place within the district boundaries.

The legal preliminaries to marriages for couples living within the district boundaries (except where the couple are to marry in the Church of England).

Arranging and conducting marriage ceremonies taking place at the Register Office and at Approved Marriage Premises.

Issuing certified copies of entries held in birth, death and marriage registers dating back from the present day to 1837.
