"Dear Bride
and Groom,
Warmest
congratulations on your forthcoming marriage.
Rotherham
Town Hall was built in 1929 by the West Riding County
Council and offers facilities for both marriage ceremonies
and receptions in the prestigious part of town in a
splendid historical location, with car parking facilities
close-by. This splendid building is becoming a popular
choice for couples marrying in Rotherham. It is fully
air-conditioned with excellent disabled access and
facilities, including a hearing loop and microphone.
From the
moment you arrive you will be greeted with a warm welcome
by our experienced staff, whose sole aim is to make your
special day one to remember. Enter the foyer, in the oldest
part of the building, which contains cabinets housing the
civic silver and continue downstairs to the John Smith Room
(named after the late Leader of the Labour Party) where the
ceremony takes place, which seats up to 100. Afterwards,
the paved and planted courtyard, the centre piece of which
is the Yorkshire Rose, and the impressive structure of the
Town Hall present an ideal backdrop for photographs.
Your
celebratory drinks are served in a reception area,
furnished with antique furniture, to allow the adjustments
to be made in preparation for your wedding breakfast. The
John Smith Room is fully licensed with a dance floor and
offers a choice of menus and styles, which can be
tailor-made to your requirements from finger buffets to
silver service. The capacity varies depending on the
function.
With over
30 years experience, you can rely on us to ensure your day
is a success!"
