Our main offices are at Bailey House, Rawmarsh Road, Rotherham. Bailey House is situated directly across the road from the bus station/multi-storey car park close to the town centre, The offices at Bailey House are open as follows.

Making an appointment
Rotherham Register Office offers an appointment service for the registration of births, stillbirths and deaths and to make arrangements for a marriage.
Appointments are available at Bailey House weekdays Monday to Friday and Saturday morning.
Telephone 01709 823543 to make an appointment to register a birth, still birth or death. The appointment will last about 20 minutes.

Outstations
It may also be possible to register your baby in hospital before you leave. Please ask the staff on the Maternity Unit about this and the times the Registrar is in attendance there.

Where to find us
The Register Office is situated on the ground floor of Bailey House, Rawmarsh Road, Rotherham close to the town centre and directly across the road from the multi-storey car park/bus station.
Car parking
Monday to Friday
There is restricted access to the Bailey House car park Monday to Friday.
If you are coming to the Register Office to register a birth, a still birth, a death or to arrange a marriage on a weekday we advise you to use the multi-storey car park which is above the bus station and directly across the road from Bailey House. (As you go up the entrance ramp to the car park you will see Bailey House to the left.)
There is a lift to take you to the ground floor of the car park/bus station, walk to the rear of the building (not towards the town centre) and use the footbridge and pedestrian underpass to reach Bailey House.
If you are attending a marriage ceremony at the Register Office on a weekday, car parking is restricted to two cars for each marriage party - this car parking is intended to be for the use of the bride and bridegroom and is on a pay and display basis. On Monday to Friday access to the Bailey House car park is controlled by a barrier and guests are advised to use public car parking in the area.
Saturday
On a Saturday there is access to the Bailey House car park and there is usually additional on street parking in the area. However, if you are unfamiliar with Rotherham town centre you may find the multi-storey car park above the bus station easier to locate.
