Based at Broom Valley Community School Kitchen, this is a permanent post working 27½ hours per week, term time only.
Under the direction of the Cook in Charge, you will prepare, cook and serve approximately 180 meals per day. You will be responsible for the kitchen and staff during the absence of the Cook in Charge.
The ability to prepare and cook food in accordance with approved menus, with relevant experience of large scale catering will be essential. You must also demonstrate good hygiene practices and have a high level of personal hygiene. You will need to communicate and work well as a member of a team. A Food Hygiene Certificate, NVQ Level 2 Food Preparation and Cooking or equivalent will be required, or you must be willing to undertake available training.
A uniform and midday meal will be provided.
