Learning & Development

We are committed to developing our employees so they have all the necessary skills and knowledge to be able to do their job effectively. We also want our employees to have the chance to develop within their chosen career and actively support personal development.

To support our employees in their learning we:

  • Offer each employee a minimum of 3 days learning and development per year.
  • Provide a formal induction for all new employees.
  • Provide a full range of internal learning and development activities within the Council.
  • Reimburse or pay directly any approved training expenses.
  • Hold learning and development achievement awards.
