Holidays

The holiday period runs from 1st January to 31st December and entitlement is based on the following:

Leave is also given for 8 bank / public holidays every year:

Good Friday and Easter Monday

May Day

Spring Bank Holiday Monday

August Bank Holiday

Christmas Day and Boxing Day

New Year’s Day

In addition a further 3 days are granted to allow the Council to close its non essential services during the Christmas/New Year period. Those employees required to work during this period will have the 3 days added to their holiday entitlement.
