Surviving Exams

Exam Time can be stressful and results can depend on your approach; your attitude, preparation and how you look after yourself before and during the exams.

Here are a few ideas that might help:

Revision

Plan Your Time

  • Make sure that you start to revise early enough in the year
  • Make an action plan.

Divide your day into 3 sessions: morning, afternoon and evening and only work 2 out of the 3 sessions on your study days.

  • Plan in rest days
  • Work in short blocks no longer than 1 hour at a time.
  • Take planned short breaks.
  • Set realistic targets for yourself

Studying

  • Check your notes are complete.
  • Check your understanding by discussing work with friends.
  • Summarise your notes.
