Streetpride Champions

The Council is looking for volunteers from across the borough to be "Streetpride Champions". This exciting proposal is to encourage public participation in reporting street issues and help to improve services.

If you are a person who cares about the area you live in and you would be willing to take the time to do something about it, you will make a good Streetpride Champion. How much time you put into it is entirely up to you.

This is your chance to make a real difference in your community.

You will be able to be involved in keeping an eye on your local area and reporting issues affecting your Street scene, such as:

  • Potholes
  • Graffiti and Vandalism
  • Weeds
  • Fly tipping and Litter
  • Dog fouling
  • Overhanging trees/hedges
  • Street lights out
  • Abandoned vehicles

Most Streetpride Champions will report problems and attend meetings but some more active volunteers might want to be involved in initiatives such as:

  • Community walkabouts to identify improvements to the street environment
  • Consultation for street improvements
  • Community clear ups involving residents, Streetpride staff and voluntary groups.
