Tenant and resident associations (TARAs)
Go along to meetings held by your local tenants' and residents' association (TARA), and have your say at public meetings. Your local Neighbourhood Office will be able to give you more information about this.
You can also join your local tenants' and residents' association or start a new association or group if there isn't one in your area. TARAs do lots of different things to make things better on their particular estate or local area. A few examples of what they can do are:
- including play areas for children
- organising social events
- campaigning on issues they are concerned about
RotherFed is an independent federation representing all TARAs in Rotherham. You can find out more about RotherFed and TARAs by visiting its website.
