Welcome to Rotherham - Schools

Children aged between 5 & 16 must attend school. Education at state schools is free.

If you have a child of school age, the Admissions and Appeals Team can help you find a primary or a secondary school place for your child or you can visit you local primary school (ages 5-10) or secondary school (ages 11-16) where school staff will help you to apply by completing an admission form.

You will be asked for a copy of the passport containing the child's details, their visa if applicable, and proof of your address.
