Introduction to Benefits
Being unaware of benefit entitlement is a common but unavoidable cause of financial hardship. If you say yes to any of the following questions then there's a possibility that you are entitled to financial support to supplement your income:
- Are you on a low income?
- Do you have dependant children?
- Are you ill or disabled?
- Are you caring for someone?
- Are you aged 60 or over?
- Have you been bereaved?
- Are you pregnant or have you recently had a baby?
You can check whether you may qualify to receive financial or other support by using the Benefits Advisor on the Direct.gov website.
